The Samoan Outrigger Hotel opened in December 1994 and has been in business for almost 30 years. We felt at the time there was a need for a clean and affordable place in Apia for travellers to stay and relax. We work very hard to improve and keep the hotel facilities up to date.
The building itself is a 120 year old colonial building so it is different from other accommodation places in town. We are a 2-Star budget hotel but our goal is to give a 5-Star service!
The Samoan Outrigger Hotel is owned and managed by Claus and Laena Hermansen.

What a terrific place, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Full of charm and character, with such delightful staff and a really good breakfast...Great place to chat with other travellers...Ideal for families...
What a beautiful little haven in Apia! Our open Fales were well appointed and comfortable - staff so helpful and the breakfast was delicious!!! There was plenty of help with local information and transfers. Fales had towels, power and showers/toilets clean and fresh...
